Forest Park Middle School is a top-quality facility, which provides challenging curricula that prepare its students for the highly technical workplace of the twenty-first century. Located on a campus set among the beautiful pine trees of East Texas, the school was built in 1957. A bond election in 1996 allowed remodeling of the office building and construction of a media center. The campus houses eight separate one-story buildings including classrooms, gymnasium, cafeteria, band hall, media center, and a combination administrative office and computer lab facility. The grounds are well maintained and landscaped, and the school district has provided continued upgrading and maintenance of the buildings. Students assume responsibility for keeping the campus neat and clean. Modifications to the buildings provide students and parents with disabilities access to the facilities.
