The deadline includes the art contest also.  Remember, you do not have to be in art class, just see an art teacher for details.  The first place winner will receive a $300.00 cash prize.

The band had TMEA Region 21 All-Region band try-outs on Saturday the 8th.  They had 45 students try out.  Out of those 45, 26 students made the All-Region band with 23 of those qualifying for Area.  Area is the next step to the All-State band.

Congratulations:

Congratulations to the Lady Lobo basketball team for winning first place at the Haughton Invitational.  The team beat the host team for the championship Saturday.  Please come out tomorrow night as the Lady Lobos play Springhill here at 5 and 6:30

The College & Career Center has received information about schools that offer full tuition scholarships and free or reduced tuition based on family income. Come see Ms. Shorts or Mrs. Ray in the college and career center to learn more.

 

Please remember that the deadline for the Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship is due on December 6 to Mrs. Ray.  The winner for this 500 word essay will earn $1,500.  LHS has had the top winner for three years in a row.  Let's do it again!

 

There are several employees that still need to talk with First Financial.

It is important for you to review your plan for next year.  If this is not done, your benefits will not be renewed.  Please check your email from  the Administration Office on First Financials where abouts.

 

This is a reminder to all students that there are cameras positioned every- where on this campus, from the parking areas to all of the buildings…….

 

Remember students that if you have a problem, do not try to handle it yourself.  Contact a principal, counselor or teacher.

Any student that is not currently in another sport that is interested in running track, throwing, or jumping please come see Coach Clay in the Student Service Center for a physical packet. All students must have a current physical to tryout. Tryouts will be held on January 3rd after school at 4:15 on the track.

 

Underclassman yearbook photo retakes have been moved to Monday, December 10. That is the same day as the senior cap-n-gown retakes. Faculty and staff who missed taking their photo please do so on this day.

There will be a special meeting of the Anime Manga club after school this Weds. in the upper library.

 

Z-Club Ladies - All ladies, new members & existing members - the first meeting of the school year will be today - 4:05-5:00 PM in Mrs. Tilley's Room, Room 607. Come prepared to pay your $25 dues, these must be paid before inductions on December 10th.
