·                     The Lady Lobo soccer team will host their final home game tonight against Mesquite Horn. Tonight is senior night and the Lady Lobos can wrap up the district championship with one game remaining with a win tonight. Come out and support seniors Jordan Adams, Morgan Downin, Chelsey Floyd, Molly Grisham, Victoria Looney, Anali Magana, Annel Magana, Victoria Ross, Kathryn Vanmeter, as well as the rest of the athletes as they attempt to win their 3^rd district championship in the 4 years that these seniors have been at Longview High School. Kickoff is at 7:00.

·                     Congratulations to JV boys’ tennis on a great district tourney. JC Arnold and Alex Turner on 1st place in doubles. Josiah Bridges as well for second in boys singles.

·                     Congratulations to the Junior Varsity softball team on beating Mesquite Horn yesterday.  They are now 2-0 in district.  The varsity Lady Lobos took a tough 2-0 loss yesterday, and are now 1-1 in district.  The softball teams' 1st home game of the season will be tomorrow against the Mesquite Skeeters.  JV will start at 5:30, followed by varsity.  Please come out and support!

·                     Global will be having its honor roll celebration today.  If you are in Global and received 80's and above on your report card, report to the Little Theater at 2:15.

·                     The Boys Soccer Team moved one step closer to their 1st District title in 6 Years two weeks ago.  Goals from Seniors Jose Rojas and Mario Lopez secured a tough win at North Mesquite.  The Lobos had been behind most of the game until a late rally.  Sophomores Leo Perez and Jose Corona played key rolls, along with Seniors Jesus Soto and Daledier Zamudio.

·                     The Lady Lobo soccer team will have a make up game tomorrow night, varsity only against North mesquite.  Kick off is at 5:30 PM at Lobo Stadium.  Good luck Ladies.

·                    Coach Clay would like to say congratulation to the girls and boys track team for a great performance at the Lobo Relays. The boys Varsity and JV track team finished first overall in the team standings and the girls varsity and jv finished finished second overall in team standings. The girls also had a track meet this past weekend in Atlanta at the "Running Rabs Relays" where the varsity girls’ mile relay team broke the track meet record with a time of 4:04.54. Thanks to Jamiya Reese, Alexandria Humble, Lucenda Webb, and Amber Redic.

·                   This is a reminder to all students that have not yet returned the clothes that were borrowed from room 213 for “dress code violation”.  Be sure to turn them in this week.

·                   Beginning next Monday, March 26^th, the coliseum and the coliseum atrium will be closed in the morning and during lunch time unless the weather is unfavorable.

·                     Students needing to catch up on your credits are reminded that Lead Academy is available to you from 4:00 to 7:00 PM.  If you need transportation, bus 26 will pick you up in the breezeway after school every day.

·                    This is a reminder that after school detention is on Tuesday and Thursdays from 4:00 to 5:00 PM in the Cafeteria – failure to show will result in ISS the next day.

·                     Seniors, the Texas Bank and Trust Scholarship is due to Mrs. Ray by noon on Friday, March 9, at noon. 

·                     Juniors, if you are applying for the Texas Bank and Trust Student Board, you must return the applications to Mrs. Ray in the College and Career Center by noon, Friday, March 9, so she can take them to the bank.

·                     Congratulations to the following girls’ basketball players for district recognition. Newcomer of the year goes to freshmen Ravan Chism, 2nd team all-district goes to Akia Patrick and Honorable mention all district goes to Ashley Moore.  Great job!

Monday, March 5

·                     Over this past weekend, the Lobo’s boys track team competed in the Earl Campbell Relays, the Varisity boys finished first and the JV boys finished second.  Congratulations guys.  Good job.

·                     Last Friday the Tennis Team competed in the Ennis Tournament.  Out of 11 teams the lobos finished 3rd.  Congratulations to Ryan Pfaff & Jenelle Kral who finished fourth place in mixed doubles, Paulo Pliego & Nick Novy who advanced to the quarterfinals in boys singles and in doubles Sam Smead and Gideon Koegelenberg quarterfinals.  Great job!
