Do you need to make changes to your registration?
The cost to register for the test is $31.00 (+15.00 if you take the optional writing portion of the test). If you are a high school junior or senior on free or reduced lunch, you can apply for a fee waiver through your school counselor. To use a fee waiver, you must register by paper folder; fee
waivers may not be used for online registration. You may register only once with an ACT fee waiver, either in your junior or senior year. The waiver is considered used once you register, even if you do not test. Please understand that counselors are only given a limited number of fee waivers and those are distributed early in the year. If your counselor no longer has fee waivers, you may still obtain a waiver from East Texas Education Opportunities Center on Mobberly Ave. Your counselor will fax a form to ETEOC to document you participation in the free or reduced lunch program. Then you may drop by ETEOC to pick up your waiver. Fee waivers cover only the basic registration fee for either the ACT (No Writing) or the ACT Plus Writing, including up to four valid college choices (listed at the time of registration). Waivers do not cover the late fee, test date changes, test center changes, or any other fees, including standby testing fees. Students who receive a fee waiver for the ACT test may also be eligible to receive a waiver for their college application fees. You must inquire about this possibility with the admissions counselor of the college to which you are applying. For more information about the ACT test, such as viewing test scores early, click here. A helpful FAQ page may quickly answer questions that you may have. |
