The LHS Counseling Staff assists studentsand parents in creating a learning environment that will help promote success for all students during their secondary educational experience and beyond. Students who need to speak with their counselor about academic issues that include schedule changes, graduation credit status, and college/career matters should sign that counselor's sign-up sheet in the appropriate counselor's office. Counselors will call students to their offices as soon as possible. Parents, the LHS counseling staff is available to you as well and looks forward to discussing your student's academic progress or problems with you. Please understand that counselors have many responsibilities and obligations to both students and faculty/administration and are not always available to meet with you. We regret that parents often take time off from their job to travel to the school campus only to discover that the counselor is working with students, testing, or completing another campus duty. Please call for an appointment and give the counselor a reason for your visit. In doing so, you give the counselor time to prepare for your visit so that he can efficiently maximize your time. Parents and students, please visit the College and Career Center on the second floor of the main building for information regarding college admissions, technical school admissions, military opportunities, college admissions exams, and scholarship information.
