Common Knowledge Scholarship Foundation
|
Developed and
administered at Nova Southeastern University, the Common Knowledge
Scholarship Foundation (CKSF) awards scholarships to students through
Internet-based quiz competitions. CKSF reward students for demonstrating
what they know. There is no essay writing or long applications to
complete. Students receive scholarship awards based on common knowledge
and basic education curricula. The primary focus is to have an objective
competition that rewards students who have well-rounded, practical
knowledge, and not necessarily those with the highest academic standing.
There are several competitions (quizzes) that students can enter online.
Please read the rules and information carefully before entering these
competitions. Some competitions are for "teams" of students from a
particular high school while other competitions can be entered by
individual students. You may want to explore the entire website before you
enter. |

College Assistance Migrant Program
(CAMP) Scholarships
|
CAMP exists to serve as a
bridge between CAMP student generations promoting higher education,
professional development, and community outreach. CAMP was established in
1972 and has helped thousands of students accomplish their educational
goals. CAMP offers pre-college transition and first-year support services
to help students develop the skills needed to stay in school and
successfully graduate from college. CAMP services include providing help
with admissions, financial aid and other university services; CAMP staff
can assist the student in finding housing either on-campus or off-campus
and find roommates with your same interests; select and register for
classes and introduce them to campus services; adjust to college life
through individual and group counseling; develop a long-term support
system; develop study and college survival skills; obtain tutors for
academic assistance; receive supplemental financial assistance for books,
supplies, health insurance and transportation. CAMP is evaluated by
college graduation rate which is somewhere between 80-90% nationally. To
that end CAMP has created a scholarship fund for students of Migrant
Workers. 45
campuses in 19 US
states and Puerto Rico have partnered with CAMP and offer scholarships to
help students who qualify-Migrant or Seasonal farmworkers and/or their
families working in agricultural activities directly related to
(1) the production of crops, dairy products,
poultry or livestock;
(2) the cultivation or harvesting of trees; or

Various-Depends on the College's Financial Aid Deadline |
Guaranteed Scholarships
|
By guaranteed scholarships, we mean
those which are unlimited in number, and require no interview, essay,
portfolio, audition, competition or other "secondary" requirement. Just
meet the criteria listed, adhere to the application deadlines set by the
individual colleges and universities, gain admission, enroll, and receive
your scholarship or scholarships. Remember that, in many cases, the
scholarships are mutually exclusive...you will generally receive the
largest scholarship or grant for which you qualify. And, generally, you
will have to meet some minimum requirements to renew and retain any
scholarships and grants awarded to you. To avoid disappointment and/or
misunderstandings, please contact any of the colleges and universities
listed on the website in which you are interested, to be certain you are
aware of initial application deadlines and the requirements for renewal.
Also, please be aware that many institutions listed below offer grants,
financial aid, and awards other than those listed. We have only listed
those meeting our definition of "guaranteed". And, be advised that many
colleges require anyone applying for aid to complete financial aid forms,
even if they have no demonstrated financial need. When you go to the
website, be sure to scroll down the page to find the colleges that
participate and the scholarships offered. |

Vocational-Technical School Scholarship Program
|
Enrollment in vocational and
technical education programs is on the rise, owing in much part to the
rapid development of new technology and the industries it creates. New
and specialized technology creates a demand for the new and specialized
skills that vo-tech programs provide. Many of these jobs pay well --
better than the average job landed by a four-year college graduate. And
usually, the price tag for a vo-tech education is significantly lower
than a four-year school. But vo-tech programs cost money, too. The
training is specialized, and it's not always cheap. In light of that, we
offer the StraightForward Media Vocational-Technical Scholarships to
those of you who are trying to get ahead in life with one of these
programs. Established in 2004, StraightForward Media's $500
Vocational-Technical School Scholarships are offered four times per
year. Students must apply online and there are two essays that must be
submitted. There is no minimum or maximum word limit on essay questions.
Essay topics are:
· How will a vocational/technical education contribute to the
improvement of yourself and your community?
· How will a StraightForward Media Vocational-Technical School
Scholarship help you meet your educational and professional goals?
