Library Books

Can check out
three books at one time.

Books check
out for two weeks.

Student must
have school ID to check out books.

Books check
out on the floor where they are shelved.

Cannot check
out books if student has a fine or an overdue book - including
English class books.
Fines and
Overdues
-
Fines are five
cents a day per book, maximum fine of $3.00 per book.

Students are
sent fine notices and overdue book notices every six weeks.

Students are
encouraged to pay all fines and lost book fees by the end of school
each year.

Students are
charged replacement costs for all lost books, not the price
originally paid for the book.
Computer Use

Students must have their ID card to
use a library computer.

Students are
not allowed to check their personal emails, enter chat rooms,
download files, play games or music, or visit blogs while
on library computers.

Student use of
the computers is monitored by the librarians and students can be
removed from computers for inappropriate use.

Students
needing to use the computers for school work take precedence over
students using them for recreational purposes.

Students may
print out pages from the computer but must pay five cents for any pages over
five per library visit.

Students may
not print personal pages - only school related materials may be
printed. If personal pages are printed, students will not be
given the pages that are printed.
Entering the
library

All students entering the library must have a pass
from the teacher and sign in,
unless they are coming with their class and teacher.

Students may
come to the library before school but must stay in the library until
the bell rings for first period.

Students may
enter the library during lunch without a pass but must sign in
indicating their teacher for that period.
